What is Sidex?

Sidex is a smart and integrated elevator destination development solution.

We will explain the definition of this system with an example. Suppose that during peak hours, such as in a hospital, in the morning when personnel arrive, doctors, a large number of people enter the building together and head towards the elevators to go to the upper floors.

In the conventional mode currently active in hospital elevators, people request to move to the upper floors by pressing a button and, based on priority when entering the complex, board the elevators that move upward and enter the cabin.

They choose the elevator to their desired floor.

Another problem with calling elevators the usual way is the confusion and lack of information among passengers about the elevator that has been sent to take them to this floor.

Also, given that there is a density of employees on the floors below the ground floor, i.e. the parking lots, the elevator starts picking up passengers from the lowest requested floor based on the default settings, and when the elevator reaches the ground floor, the elevator cabin will not have the capacity to accommodate passengers.

The ground floor elevator will have many unnecessary stops, and ground floor passengers will have to summon the elevator again after passing through the elevator, which will slow down the speed of service to passengers.

The destination control system adds various traffic management features to elevators using control tools.

This system solves many existing problems and, in other words, brings order to the current structure of the complex for boarding passengers.

The destination control system has a panel on each floor for passenger requests. Passengers select their destination at the origin and the elevator is introduced to them based on the selected destination. In this case, the floor keys as well as the keys inside the elevator cabin are disabled when using the destination control system.

A very important point in this method is determining the passengers’ duties at the time of request.

In this case, passengers are separated based on their selected destinations and directed to the appropriate elevators.
